The tallest aerial tramway support tower of the world belongs to the third section of the Kitzsteinhorn Aerial Tramway near Kaprun in Austria. It is 113.6 metres tall ( http://de.structurae.de/structures/data/index.cfm?ID=s0009222 and http://www.seilbahngeschichte.de/gbk1.htm )

Pictures from the aerial tramway support tower of the third section of the Kitzsteinhorn Aerial Tramway, the tallest aerial tramway support tower in the world!

The tallest aerial tramway support tower in Switzerland is used by the aerial tramway between Gant and Hohtälli near Zermatt. It is 94 metres tall ( ( http://www.seilbahnen.org/Groesste_Stutze.html )

In Germany the Eibsee Aerial Tramway near Garmisch-Partenkirchen has the tallest support tower. It is 85 metres tall ( http://www.seilbahngeschichte.de/bzb-eibseeseilbahn.htm ).

It should be mentioned that in World War II construction works started for an aerial tramway between Mittersil (Salzburg County) and Matrei (Eastern Tyrol) started, which should have run over two 80 metre tall support towers. One of these towers was built of wood!
However at the end of World War II only the support towers were completed. The aerial tramway was never completed and around mid of 1950ies both support pillars were demolished.

Who knows further aerial tramways with very tall aerial tramway support towers?
